Took off at dawn this morning. Rosa packed tight, but with surprising room to spare.
First stop - Blue Moose Cafe in Morgantown, WV, for coffee and a tutorial for Cilla on navigating Helen's smart phone. Home of UWV and birthplace of Don Knotts ("Don who?" says Helen).
Lunch at Ye Olde Alpha in Wheeling, WV, for surprisingly good chicken fajita salad at their Mexican Monday (thank you FourSquare!). Beautiful little town in a lush valley.
Passed briefly through PA, then into Ohio, with pockets of rain all afternoon. Then off to the Giants-Reds game soon after arriving in Cincinnati. Downpour stuck in 5th inning, gave up and left in middle of the 6th, Giants losing 8-1. Sad, soggy game.
Walked back to our hotel as the storm built up to crashing thunder, bolts of lightning, howling wind, and flash flood warnings.
That's a wrap for these tired travelers after day 1!
